1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Repertree ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Repertree is a chess opening repertree builder that allows users to create, manage, and study chess opening repertrees. We offer both free and paid subscription tiers with varying features and limits.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

  • Free trials allow full access to paid features for the trial period
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice to active subscribers

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the repertrees and content you create. By making content public, you grant other users the right to view and save your repertrees. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Upload malicious content or spam
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Repertree and protected by intellectual property laws. Chess moves and openings themselves are not proprietary.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
